A1: Andalucía is an Islamic community. However, the non-Muslim family relatives of Muslims are welcome.

A2: No, not in the traditional sense. We may share equipment, possessions, and work together, but your property is yours. Working together and sharing is encouraged, but not mandatory.
Q3: How far is the nearest store, hospital, and city?
A3: The nearest sizeable store (Walmart), hospital (Alta Vista), and city (Las Vegas, NM) is 80 miles away.
Q4: How much does it cost to live at Andalucía?
A4: Everyone is different. Some families live on less than $1500 a month.
Q5: Does Andalucía accept donations?
A5: Al hamdulillah, yes we do. As a nonprofit organization, such money is used dawah, visitors, sustainable projects, sadaqah, etc.
Q6: How do people support themselves financially?
A6: Remote employment is how most people support themselves and their family. There are jobs available with the state, county, local businesses, and school district.
Q7: Do you have public utilities?
A7: It's up to you. Presently, all members and residents are off-grid.
Q8: If I move to Andalucía, what can I do for housing? How about leasing land?
A8: There are many options. Tents, travel trailers, mobile homes, and natural building are some of the options. There are lease options available for homes with a plot of land.

A9: Masha'Allah, we have children from 2 to 17 living in the community. Presently, everyone homeschools or has their children enrolled in an online school.
Q10: Can unmarried people and older adults join Andalucía?
A10: Yes. We don't care if you're single or married. Our oldest resident is 73-years-old.
Q11: Does the community follow a certain school of thought?
A11: Al hamdulillah, we adhere to Sunni Islam as understood and practiced by the first 3 generations of Muslims.

A12: Anything and everything halal!
Q13: What kind of training/assistance is offered to people getting established in Andalucía?
A13: We do as much as possible to help you get established before and when you arrive. The community skillset covers solar technology, husbandry, Permaculture, foraging, coding, home economics, secular & Islamic education, and a whole lot more.
Q14: Are the people of Andalucía diverse (ethnicities, nationalities, and heritages)?
A14: Some members and residents are dual nationals (British & American, Jamaican & American, Sudanese & American, Yemeni & American, Nigerian & American, and Canadian & American). Insha'Allah, a Brazilian American will be joining us soon. Our community is a rainbow of colors.
